Album for a Cure Branding Design

Bold & Pop : Album for a Cure Branding Design

We're totally biased, but we are so dang lucky to work with some of the best clients who are doing some seriously amazing work! Cue our client Daniel Nickels who has been working so hard on a campaign to launch his first solo album. Since writing songs, performing and killing it in the studio wasn't alreadyyy enough work he decided to add another element to his launch which included a cause close to his heart -- breast cancer research.

To put a cause behind his launch, he partnered up with the Dr. Donald McDonnell's breast cancer research program at Duke Cancer Institute to create a campaign called Album for a Cure. For the month of October, Daniel has dedicated to donating all of the proceeds from his album to breast cancer research to anyone who contributes to the campaign as well as giving them a digital copy of the album on October 30th.

In today's world it's tough to find someone who hasn't been touched by breast cancer in some way so we were so moved to help Daniel out with this campaign!

To help out with the campaign Daniel was looking for some of our meringue services to incorporate into his current website and also create some campaign materials.

The Project:

  • Meringues
    • Website Update
    • T-shirt Design for Album for a Cure
    • Business Card Design
    • Sticker Design

The Design:

  • Incorporate pink breast cancer awareness ribbon into design
  • Update homepage of website to include Album for a Cure information
  • Design promotional materials for campaign

Here's a look at how everything turned out!

This campaign just gives us all of the feels! We are SO INCREDIBLY proud of Daniel and for the work he has put into this campaign to help spread awareness for such an important cause while sharing his gift of music. Not only that but we also cannot waittttt to listen to his solo album! So many good vibes. If you'd like to support Daniel's campaign there's still a few days to join the movement!

Personalized Procedures Branding Design

Bold & Pop : Personalized Procedures Branding Design

One of our favorite things ever? Getting to work with an awesome boss more than once! And we had the chance to do just that with Jordan Gill from Personalized Procedures recently when she wanted to refresh some of her branding elements. We first had the opportunity to work with Jordan when we helped build her website and helped create a logo for her podcast, Systems Saved Me. Now she was looking to change up her branding to incorporate a bit of a wine theme (umm, yes please! 🍷).

The Project:

The Project:

  • Adjust some of her current brand colors to align with the wine theme
  • Create some new branding elements she could use on landing pages and throughout her marketing and brand
  • Create a style guide and some customized social branding templates for future use

Jordan already had a great brand and helping implement new elements was seriously exciting! For colors, we just deepened the current purple she had to be more of a wine color. We still kept some of the colors she was previously using but decided to break them up into primary and secondary colors for her with the primary being the new wine color, black, and white and the secondary colors being a light grey and sand color. Then we created some different branding backgrounds and accents to help provide a sophisticated, yet approachable vibe.

Take a peek at how we were able to accomplish this:

Not only was creating new branding for Jordan fun but we really love working with her so we couldn’t be happier with how all these elements turned out! For sure check out Personalized Procedures if you are ever in need of some help setting up systems for your biz (so you know, you can take that much needed vacay and not worry about your biz while you're on the beach!).

Modern Gem Design Website Design

Bold & Pop : Modern Gem Design Website Design

It might be the fact that her colors seriously spoke to us or the fact that both of us have been in the midst of moving but when we got the opportunity to work with Megan McDowell from Modern Gem Design on a new website, we were beyond excited!

The Project:

The Design:

After discussing Megan’s vision and specific needs, we focused on nailing these 3 things:

  • Create a modern, professional website that is both bold and colorful but still gender-neutral
  • Highlighting Megan’s expertise, services, and design aesthetic
  • Keep cohesive branding throughout social media, blog, and email newsletter

We spent a lot of time focusing on how we could highlight Megan’s expertise as a designer for multi-family properties in a unique way that would help her stand out from the competition. Not only did we assisted with creating a fun slogan but we used Modern Gem Design’s logo as inspiration for the graphic elements of the website. Take a look at how it all turned out!

Like I said before, I’m not sure if it was the colors or the fact we’ve been searching for a new apartment, but this has been one of our favorite website designs to date. Megan was really easy and fun to work with. She completely trusted our vision giving us free range to take the reins and run with the design! I’ve got to say that we're reallyyyy loving how it turned out! If you’re in need of some design inspiration, you might want to head on over to get a few ideas!
