Mallory had a pretty good idea of what she wanted when it came to colors and the vibe of her brand. A dusty rose pink color was a must have and then she wanted to pair it to a deeper color and a lighter color for some contrast. (Funny enough she picked almost the exact colors of the decor in her apartment without even noticing right away!)
She also knew she wanted some kind of geometric symbols to play off of but wanted them to have meaning. She found a glyph that means transform and we ended up play off that for the symbols (added a few others in too).
Here are a few other things we focused on when it came to the website:
Create a landing page for visitors to get to know Mallory a little better and highlight some of her blog posts
Focus on creating a user-friendly experience for all devices -- especially mobile
Create a My Story page and a Work with Me page to give people a better idea of Mallory's journey and where she's going
A simple but effective design that really screams "Mallory!"
Here's a peek at how the logo and website turned out:
We played off some of the geometric vibe of the logo by adding in a diagonal background as well as one of our favorite parts, the "highlighter" effect on some key text. We did this using custom coding and think it's a fun and playful way to add some of the geometric elements while making key words and phrases pop!
If you know Mallory, you know this site fits her to a tee and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Take a look for yourself!
