To say we are excited and obsessed with our latest branding and web design project is a complete understatement. When Kathryn from Dash of Flair contacted us, we immediately hit it off and had a million ideas running through our heads to help refresh her branding and create a brand spankin’ new website for her! Originally selling their custom decals and drinkware through Etsy and Amazon, Kathryn was interested in updating her logo to be more modern to grow with the company as well as creating an ecommerce website of her own too. We just launched her website last week and we can’t wait to give you a look at the project!
Kathryn was really open to our suggestions on her new branding and the website design which made this extra fun for us! When it came to her updated logo and branding, she knew she wanted to keep a crown integrated as well as the teal color she had been using.
After discussing more of their vision for their branding and website, we focused on nailing the following:
- Create a new logo incorporating a crown that is modern and will grow with the company
- Create a seamless shopping experience that easily allows customers to customize their decals and drinkware
- Create custom graphics, gifs, and product mockups to align with new branding
- Design collateral to align with new branding
- Social media graphics
- Etsy graphic
- Sales insert to be included in packaging
- Email newsletter design
Once we nailed the colors, fonts, and vibe for the new branding, we were off to the races to get started on the logo. We started by choosing two different crown styles and mixing and matching the fonts and colors. Here’s a look at the concepts we started with:
From these concepts, Kathryn decided which one of the crown styles she liked best, we made a few more tweaks, and the logo was finalized!
Then it was time to get rolling on the web design. The main goals for the website were to highlight the various product categories offered and allow for easy customization of each product. With that in mind, we took inspiration for the logo design to create the custom graphics on the homepage to direct customers to the category they are looking for.
The next step in our design process was to create mock-ups of the decals to showcase some of the fun ways you can use Dash of Flair's products!
Then it was on to creating a simple way for customers to customize their decals or drinkware which we achieved by using custom forms to collect the appropriate information from customers on how they’d like their decal to look. Take a look at how we laid all of this out to bring Kathryn’s wish list for her new brand to life!
And last but not least, we finished up the project by designing some new collateral pieces to reflect the new branding. This included new social media graphics, a new Etsy cover, a mailing insert for new orders, and customizing their email newsletter.
Can you see why we’re so obsessed with this project??? Kathryn really trusted our judgment and vision for her which gave us so much freedom to create all this prettiness! She was quite literally a dream! If you’re looking for some seriously cute decals or drinkware, you have to check Dash of Flair out! Kathryn will even create a custom decal JUST FOR YOU and we know some of you (like us!) are totally into that!
