Tell us your bold boss story!:
I am a VA that has evolved into an Online Business Manager/ Funnel specialist and an Ontraport certified consultant. I came into this profession by sheer accident. I was working my first a 9-5 for a grand total of 6 days before I was so crippled I couldn't walk and my back was in severe pain (pinched nerve due to improper seating). AND THEN, no word of a lie, about 2 weeks later, I googled "How to Make Money Online" and here I am now. What inspired me to start really committing to my business was that I took so much pride in my work and enjoyed what I was doing that I wanted to turn this passion into a long-term career. The ability to live a life on your own terms, even though I am non-transient (currently), and experience the flexibility in my schedule that allows me to experience life to a different degree, and it's completely changed the way I view my time here on earth. I enjoy my work day, instead of am in a trance-like state from clock in to clock out. I always knew I was meant to live a non-conventional life, so even though the road to finding this career was cumbersome, it was worth it.
We're all about bold boss moments, tell us about one of yours!:
One of the best things I ever did was take a really negative experience with a client and channel it into some serious boss energy. I was at MAJOR fault for not honoring myself in my work. Not having boundaries, devaluing my services, and compromising to make clients happy. This is not only unsustainable, it's also plain dumb. And most importantly, I recognized that this wasn't the first time I've done this to myself, just not in my career life. I spiraled into some serious depression for a few weeks and then realized that I have the choice to continue to wallow, or I can turn this into something positive - which I did. I am gearing up for my very first interview series (after working behind the scenes on over 20 in the last two years), and to launch my first group program at the beginning of the month.
What advice or words of encouragement do you have for the Bold Boss Tribe?:
Take care of yourself and make downtime a priority. It's very easy to get lost in the climb, that you forget that you need to nourish yourself.
P.S. Exciting news! We launched a free #BoldBossTribe Facebook Group and would love for you to join us! Come on over!
