Tell us your bold boss story!:
I was really inspired by photography after I took a gap year program in Siena, Italy. I was in between high school and college so I decided to go to Savannah College of Art and Design to study photography. While I was studying photography I really enjoyed printing my own pieces. Printing on different mediums really became a passion of mine in college. My professors and I discussed a lot about where I would go next. I talked to them about how there were not many good places to print after I had interned with a local photographer in my hometown I discovered the only place to get good quality print was in New Orleans. I decided to start my photography and printing business after graduating college in my hometown.
We're all about bold boss moments, tell us about one of yours!:
I do this art show in Highlands, North Carolina that helps raise money for a college fund. Each year I am so excited when someone buys a piece. One year I got two commissions from the show.
What advice or words of encouragement do you have for the Bold Boss Tribe?:
Never give up. I might not be the most well-known photographer in my area, but I get so excited when I am asked to be part of something. Join local groups on Facebook and in your community. You are going to have ups and downs and people who don't like your work. Don't let any of that stop you from your dream.
P.S. Exciting news! We launched a free #BoldBossTribe Facebook Group and would love for you to join us! Come on over!
